I say here's how GSN needs to improve with their schedule. And I'm trying to do what works with GSN. I watch their schedule, I might know. First, here's what I said on GSN's board just now:
Modern shows don't work so well within 12-3. I've noticed. From past ratings I've seen, Deal or No Deal doesn't do so well, and Catch-21 with Lingo (Engvall) might do, so-so, haven't been paying much attention. Lingo (Woolery) does awful from what I've seen at Noon ET. The weekday schedule looks stale and could use some freshening up.
Of course, I'm not saying acquire every classic until they go bankrupt, but some classics from 12-3pm could work. I say, appeal to the older fans in the morning-some afternoon and younger fans afternoon-evening. It's ridiculous what GSN does, I think. I'm no genius, but I kind of pay attention to what could work, and what doesn't work.
I think the weekday schedule should go SOMETHING like this.

8:00am - Family Feud (Dawson)
8:30am - Match Game
9:00am - Match Game
9:30am - Password Plus
10:00am - Card Sharks (Perry)
10:30am - The $25,000 Pyramid
11:00am - Family Feud (Dawson)

12:30pm - Card Sharks (Eubanks)
1:00pm - Press Your Luck
1:30pm - Body Language

3:00pm - Lingo (Woolery)
